About Argus

At Argus, we offer 24/7 homelesness prevention and shelter diversion services to youth in crisis anywhere within the Waterloo Region. In addition to our food, shelter and constant staff support, we also offer a voluntary life-skills acquisition program whose main goal is to mobilize young people experiencing homelessness towards a healthy and viable re-integration into their community.

Black Friday Auction for Argus

Take a Look at Our Auction Items!

Explore our auction items below and mark your calendars! On Friday, November 19th at 8:00am sharp, our online auction will begin. Registration is open for the entire duration of the auction and is required upon your first bid.

Bidding for the first time? Here are some quick tips:

  1. Click on “My Auction Account” to create an account prior to bidding (you may also do this by following the prompts during your first bid). You will receive an email confirmation with your username and password. Please check your spam folder.
  2. Once registered, you will be redirected to your “My Account” page, where you can click on “Payment methods” and add your credit card information, which will be stored safely via Stripe.
  3. Come back to this page to explore and bid for your desired items! You will receive notifications as the auction progresses to see whether you are winning or if someone else bid higher than you!

FAQ's

The bidding in the online auction starts at 8:00 pm on Friday November 19th and will continue until 8:00 am Friday, November 26th. The successful bid is the final bid upon the close of the auction.  You will be notified of your successful bid.

  1. Registration is required to be able to bid.
  2. A person making a bid acknowledges by the bid, that they have read and agreed to terms and conditions herein.
  3. Bids may not be cancelled
  4. Online auction bid increments cannot be lower than the indicated minimum of $5.00
  5. The highest bid when the auction closes will be the purchaser’s.
  6. The credit card of the successful purchaser will be charged.

Staff will be available at 115 Wellington Street on December 6 and December 7 between the hours of 9am and 8pm for pickup of items won. Please come with identification to show staff and a copy of your communication showing you are the winner of the item.

All sales are final. Purchased items must be picked up on December 6 or 7th. If the winner of the auction item is not the person picking up the item, you must contact LeeAnne King via email leeking@execulink.com to let her know who will be coming so that identification can be verified.  If you are unable to come on December 6 or 7th, alternate arrangements must be made prior to the end of the day on December 7th. Argus is unable to provide transportation of items. The good news…..all purchases are HST exempt.

While program descriptions are believed to be correct, errors may occur. The Night of Wine and Roses committee would invite you to come and view the items on November 20th at Monigram Coffee Roasters, Cambridge, Ontario, between the hours of 10am and 2pm, to ensure that they meet your satisfaction prior to bidding. Proof of vaccination will be required to enter Monigram Coffee Roaster’s building. Please enter at the back of the building. We apologize for any errors or omissions.
